National Lutheran Home is affiliated with the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Delaware-Maryland Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and owns and operates a continuing care retirement community in Rockville, Maryland. National Lutheran Home was founded in the District of Columbia in 1890. All services and facilities are available to every resident equally without regard to race, color, national origin, or the plan under which admitted. National Lutheran Home, the not-for-profit sponsor and operator of this new community, will build on its strong foundation and experience providing outstanding service and care to older adults. NLH is backed by local leadership provided by a volunteer board of trustees that includes business, professional, civic and religious leaders who are committed to providing the highest quality housing, services and care at moderate cost.
